Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) is undergoing a comprehensive redistricting initiative to prepare for changes in school capacity and future growth. These changes include expansion projects in Jordan Springs and Middletown elementary schools along with a new high school scheduled to open in 2029.
A key part of this initiative includes collecting community feedback on 3 scenarios showing what updated school assignment boundaries could look like. These scenarios are not final and are a way to gain insight on what the district should consider when redrawing boundaries.
Search your address in the map's search bar to find your assigned school currently and under each scenario. View the current boundaries along with the the boundaries under each scenario by clicking on the dropdowns and selecting a school level. Once you're ready to provide feedback on a selected scenario, press "Leave a comment," and click an area on the map you want to leave a comment about.
